May Play Box

May is over and that means my Sephora Play Box came in the mail! So lets get to it.

I have to admit that this was the first month I wasn’t totally jazzed by the items I received. This was because 2 of the items were repeats, the Caudalie moisturizer and the perfume from Atelier Cologne. I liked both but I’m not crazy about getting them again. I do like the little bag this time, it reminds me of summer camp as a kid.

First up is the Caudalie Vinosource moisturizing sorbet. This is a very lightweight, almost mousse like moisturizer, which makes it perfect for the summer. This product doesn’t blow me away. Not because its bad but because it doesn’t do anything special for my skin either. It’s just nice.

Next is something new, the Buxom Lash Mascara. Sounds pretty straight forward. It promises lots of volume and it has short little plastic bristles. I generally prefer natural bristles, but I’m always down to try something new and I do like a great volumizing mascara. Little samples like this are great for travelling!

This is another repeat because I have tried this before. The Hourglass Veil Mineral primer. I didn’t get this in a previous Play Box but I have received samples of this throughout the years. It’s a great primer! If you are an oily person then I highly recommend this. It’s a bit pricey which is why I have never purchased it but it does work great!

Something new again! The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. This has been a cult classic for years, but surprisingly I’ve never tried this. I don’t wear liner a lot to begin with so I usually buy drugstore liners. I’m excited to try this one out and put it to the test.

The last repeat is this perfume from Atelier Cologne in Clementine California. This perfume smells like summer to me. It is this gorgeous citrus scent that is sophisticated.

Excuse my stock photo for this product, but I took it with me on a trip and misplaced it before I took my photos. This product is new to me and the one I’m most excited about. The Ouai Wave Spray. You can use this on damp or dry hair to help bring out your natural wave texture or create a textured beachy look with a curling iron. I have a bit of natural wave to my hair but most wave sprays have salt in them and they dry out my hair and make it crunchy. I’ve tried this once when I let my hair air dry and it gave me that effortless beachy look without making my hair crunchy, it was still very touchable.

That is everything I got this month. Even though I received some things I had tried before I will still save them for trips and any travel I do because they are so easy to pack and bring with you, or to just throw in your purse for the day!

Hope you all had a wonderful month!
